Robert Hagg has been listed as month to month with a lower-body injury on the Sabres' latest injury report, released Thursday morning.
Hagg attempted to play through the injury during the second period of Buffalo's victory in Winnipeg on Tuesday before missing the entirety of the third. The defenseman averages 17:45 of ice time - his highest mark since 2017-18 - and leads the Sabres in blocked shots (56) and hits (49).
The Sabres recalled 24-year-old defenseman Casey Fitzgerald, a right shot, to replace the left-shot Hagg on the NHL roster. Fitzgerald has seven points (4+3) in 21 games with Rochester this season.

The injury report - which you can view in its entirety in the below tweet - also featured the addition of forward Casey Mittelstadt, who is listed as month to month after having successful surgery to repair an upper-body injury on Dec. 10.
Designations remain unchanged for goaltenders Craig Anderson (month to month) and Dustin Tokarski (week to week) along with forwards Drake Caggiula and Alex Tuch (both week to week). Tuch practiced without a non-contact jersey for the first time on Wednesday and could make his Sabres debut soon after the team concludes its current road trip, coach Don Granato said.
