The Nashville Predators can pick up at least a point in their fourth-straight game when they host the upstart Colorado Avalanche tonight (at 7 p.m. CT).
Nashville (2-2-1) fell in overtime to Chicago on Saturday, but managed to pick up their fifth of a possible six points in their previous three games. On Monday, Preds Head Coach Peter Laviolette said he thinks his team's performance has improved in each subsequent game this season.
After finishing last in the Central Division last season, a 4-2-0 start for the Avs is somewhat suprising. Colorado lost their last game to Dallas, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Former Preds forward Colin Wilson, now wearing No. 22, is expected to suit up for the Avalanche this evening.
Prior to their morning skate
, the Preds recalled forward Frederick Gaudreau and placed defenseman Yannick Weber on Injured Reserve. Center Nick Bonino and d-man P.K. Subban missed Monday's practice. Captain Roman Josi has been skating but remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Tuesday's morning skate was optional, below is a projected lineup based on Monday's practice:
