How to Watch, Live Stream Canadiens vs. Preds

The Nashville Predators have one more chance to collect a win on their three-game homestand that concludes tonight against the Montreal Canadiens. It's the second and final meeting of the season between the two clubs; the Preds defeated the Habs, 4-1, back at the beginning of January in arguably one of their best outings of the campaign.
Nashville has dropped three-straight contests, including a 3-2 decision to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. The group had won three of four previously as they came out of the All-Star Break and Bye Week, and in the past two defeats, Predators Head Coach Peter Laviolette hasn't been all that disappointed in his team's effort.

"I'm always pretty honest with you guys," Laviolette said to the media after Wednesday's practice. "This is just my opinion - we did a lot of good things in the last two games, and the results didn't come our way. When the process isn't right, you know me, I'll stand in front of you and I'll tell you that. And people might not agree with my opinion, either.
"That's what happens when you watch sports. There are definitely things that we looked at today that we try to clean up, different areas that we can be better, but we're going to go out there as a confident group [tonight] and try to win a hockey game and try to be better than we were last game."
The Predators are in no way pleased with the results they've produced in the last three outings, and they'd love nothing more than to reverse that as former captain Shea Weber and the Canadiens come to town.

Last Time Out:
Viktor Arvidsson and P.K. Subban, the latter of whom scored on the power play, tallied for the Preds in their 3-2 loss to the Red Wings on Tuesday night. Arvidsson's goal was his 25th of the season and the 17th he's scored since New Year's Eve, a stretch that leads the League in the category.
Ryan Johansen has points in five straight and continues to lead the club with 52 points on the season, followed by defensemen Roman Josi and Mattias Ekholm with 45 and 40 points, respectively. Filip Forsberg follows Arvidsson with 20 goals, Craig Smith has 16 and Nick Bonino has 14.

The Opposition:
Montreal has points in six consecutive outings, including a 4-3 overtime loss to Toronto on Saturday, their most recent contest. Max Domi leads the group with 49 points, followed by Jonathan Drouin with 46, and then Tomas Tatar and Phillip Danault with 40 apiece. Brendan Gallagher has 22 goals on the season; Domi, Drouin and Tatar have 17 goals each. Carey Price, Preds defenseman Yannick Weber's future brother-in-law, is 23-13-5 in net for the Habs.
All-Time Meetings:
The Predators are 12-6-(1)-6 all-time against the Canadiens, including a 6-1-(1)-4 record at Bridgestone Arena. Nashville has picked up at least a point in 13 of its last 14 meetings with Montreal (9-1-4) and has only lost twice in regulation since Jan. 15, 2009.
In 14 contests since the 2009-10 season, Nashville has limited Montreal to an average of 1.57 goals per game, including 13 games in which the Preds have given up two or fewer goals. On Nov. 14, 2009, the Predators put a franchise-record 55 shots on goal and outshot the Canadiens by a club record 35 shots, and Pekka Rinne made 20 saves in a 2-0 victory at Bridgestone Arena.

Notables Versus Montreal:
Pekka Rinne is 8-2-2 versus the Habs in his career with a 1.46 goals-against average and two shutouts. His .951 save percentage ranks as his best against a single opponent.
P.K. Subban has four points (4a) in four career games against his former team, including a two-assist performance on Jan. 5. Craig Smith has three points (2g-1a) in his last three games versus Montreal.
