Meet Chef James

SUNRISE, Fla. -The Florida Panthers and BB&T Center announced today that Jarrett Seldin has been named Director of Hospitality and James Versfelt has been named Executive Chef of the Florida Panthers and BB&T Center. Additionally, new food and beverage options will be available at the arena beginning on Feb. 1, when the Florida Panthers host the Nashville Predators at 7 p.m.

Jarrett Seldin brings over 20 years of food service experience and previously served as a Director of Concessions for the BB&T Center and Florida Panthers. He was the Food and Beverage Outlets Manager at Sheraton and Bahia Mar in Fort Lauderdale before joining BB&T Center in 2012.
Bringing decades of culinary experience, Versfelt has been showcased at The Regent Hotel in South Beach and One Bal Harbor Resort and Spa, as well as Levy Restaurants including American Airlines Arena and Marlins Park. The opening chef of the Versace Mansion in 2005, Versfelt also previously worked at the Shelborne Hotel in Miami Beach and received Slow Food Miami's Snail of Approval Award for the property in 2018.
"Our goal is for every guest at BB&T Center to have a standout dining experience at every game or concert they attend," said Versfelt. "From world-class offerings in premium spaces to unique options around the concourse, BB&T Center's new concessions concepts offer a wide array of culinary delights."
The BB&T Center will also begin offering three new culinary experiences at concession stands: 'Smells Like Brunch', 'Taco 'Bout It' and 'Chick It Out'.
"We've received feedback from thousands of fans in the form surveys, social media, our HappyOrNot ® Smiley Touch analytics and through additional fan-facing touch points," said Panthers Chief Operating Officer Sean McCaffrey. "We're thrilled to introduce these new options that we believe will serve as a catalyst to a culinary revolution at the arena, one that will offer fans a one-of-kind culinary experience to match the world-class entertainment on the stage or ice."
Located at Section 129 and 307, 'Taco 'Bout It' will feature chicken, steak, pork, veggie and fish soft shell tacos for those that want a little more spice in their dining experience.
Beginning at the Florida Panthers Tuesday home game against the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 5 and continuing through regular season Tuesday home games throughout the 2018-19 season, Tuesdays will be $3 Taco Tuesdays at 'Taco 'Bout It.'
'Smells like Brunch', a new spot to satisfy all your breakfast cravings located at Section 105, will feature candy bacon stick, fried chicken and waffles, egg and bacon cheddar cheese burger, bacon wrapped footlong hot dog and spicy chicken thigh donut. Beverages such as Bloody Mary's and mimosas will be served as well.
'Chick It Out' will feature everyone's favorite classic chicken dishes such as a 'Nashville Hot' chicken sandwich, spicy chicken sandwich, grilled Mexican chicken torta sandwich and 'Jamaican Jerk' or 'Buffalo Style' chicken wings. Chick It Out will be located at Section 105 near 'Smells Like Brunch.'
"We recognized the demand from fans for an improved operational experience while dining at BB&T Center for games, concerts and shows," said Director of Hospitality Jarrett Seldin. "We're excited to recently alleviate one of our fan friction points by now offering cashless transactions at all concession stands and portables."
