EDMONTON, AB – Doesn't matter how they arrive – a win is a win.
Leon Draisaitl scored the fortunate game-winner with 2:27 remaining in regulation, while goalie Devon Levi made 19 saves in his home debut for the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Saturday night in a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken.
Owen Michaels scored his second-career goal in as many games, while Connor McDavid contributed a goal & an assist.
The Oilers captain recorded the primary helper on Draisaitl's decisive tally off a rimmed puck from Ryan Shea that struck his leg along the boards, redirecting it into the path of Draisaitl to put the fortunate game-winner in the final three minutes.
Levi was terrific in his home debut, stopping 19 of 20 shots for the win, including a game-defining glove save on Jordan Eberle in the third period that nearly counted after officials needed a review to confirm whether the puck crossed the goal line.
The Oilers now hit the road for three games for their first extended road trip of the season, which begins on Tuesday night against the Anaheim Ducks.
