OVERTIME

1:42: DRAISAITL DELIVERS! ON THE POWER PLAY! With 15 seconds left in the extended overtime power play, Leon tees up McDavid's pass from his regular spot in the right circle to secure the Oilers the extra point on his 34th of the season after the Canadiens came back with two goals in the third period. The Oilers win it in extra time, 3-2, and will wrap up their homestand on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.

5:00: Overtime has begun!

THIRD PERIOD

0.0: We got to overtime after Montreal's comeback in the third period, but the Oilers will have 3:33 of four-on-three to try and win it.

27.5: Joel Armia high-sticks Henrique in the neutral zone! It's reviewed for a double-minor and it was upheld, so Edmonton can win this thing on a four-minute power play.

1:08: NUGENT-HOPKINS OFF THE POST! SO CLOSE! Draisaitl completes the entry and puts it on a plate for No. 93 in the slot, but his shot rattles the right iron to keep it tied with 25 seconds left in the power play.

2:43: David Savard takes an untimely hooking penalty late in the game after Evander Kane tried to release a wrist shot from the left circle. This is a big moment in the game for Edmonton's power play that's 2-for-2 tonight so far.

6:27: Pickard shuts the door on Anderson with the left arm for his biggest and most-crucial stop of the final frame so far.

7:51: Montembault makes a crucial glove save on Kane's backhand from the slot. It's only Edmonton's third shot of the period as it's been all Montreal since the second intermission, with the Habs fighting back to tie it on goals from Suzuki and Guhle.

15:17: Guhle beats Pickard over the left pad. The former Oil Kings d-man ties things up 2-2 with over three quarters left in this period, and they're about to get a power play of 1:11.

15:55: Leon Draisaitl is tagged for a hooking penalty to even things up at 4-on-4 for 49 seconds.

17:06: Juraj Slafkovsky trips Troy Stecher in the corner for two minutes in the box.

19:28: Montreal goal. Captain Nick Suzuki redirects it in with his skate, but there's no kicking motion, so it'll stand as a good goal. 2-1.

20:00: The third period has begun!

SECOND PERIOD

0.0: Edmonton's first power play goes unanswered as the second period ends with the Oilers up 2-0 off Henrique's first with the Oilers.

3:23: Mike Matheson is called for roughing on Nugent-Hopkins to give Edmonton their first look with the man advantage.

5:05: HENRIQUE'S FIRST IN BLUE & ORANGE! Mattias Ekholm picks him out for a tap-in from the crease to record his first Oilers goal after the Swede fired a pass out from inside the left circle, picking up his second assist of the night. Bouchard gets the secondary helper and it's 2-0 Oilers on Henrique's 19th of the season.

Henrique taps in his first goal as an Oiler to make it 2-0

7:17: The Oilers improve to 2-for-2 on the penalty kill with some great saves from Calvin Pickard on that one. It remains 1-0 Oilers, but the Habs lead in shots 14-11 with two more on that man advantage.

9:17: Ryan McLeod takes the puck but also the man with a trip, so Montreal goes back to the power play for the second time.

11:42: After Leon Draisaitl makes a terrific move at one end that the GErman couldn't finish, Calvin Pickard comes up with a good stop at the other end.

20:00: The second period is underway!

FIRST PERIOD

0.0: The first period ends with a 1-0 Oilers lead off McDavid's 26th of the season.

2:05: The Habs hit a post on that man advantage, but can't score.

4:05: Alex Newhook is tripped by Darnell Nurse in front as Mike Matheson worked the puck to the net. The first power play of the night goes to Montreal.

7:02: McDavid turns and fires a quick shot five-hole on Montembault and the Montreal netminder gets enough of it to keep it from sliding through. Instead, it sat wide open in the crease before being cleared out of danger.

10:40: McDAVID DELIVERS A BEAUTY! Mattias Ekholm knocks a puck off Josh Anderson's stick at the blueline and McDavid does the rest, picking up the puck in the left circle and walking around a Montreal defender before cutting back and sliding it around Sam Montembault for the 1-0 Oilers lead.

McDavid dangles around Montembault for his 26th of the season

17:31: START WITH A SCRAP! Sam Carrick doesn't like a hit from Steve Pezzetta at the Montreal bench, and the two settle their differences by trading blows at centre ice in a heated fight.

20:00: GAME ON!

20:00: The first period is about to begin.
