Pionk suspended two games for kneeing

NEW YORK -- Winnipeg Jets defenseman Neal Pionk has been suspended for two games, without pay, for kneeing Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Rasmus Sandin during NHL Game No. 380 in Winnipeg on Sunday, Dec. 5, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 5:44 of the third period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Pionk will forfeit $58,750.00. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
