Ernie Clement bangs pregame drum before Sabres game

Ernie Clement earned the reception he received from KeyBank Center on Thursday.

The Toronto Blue Jays infielder hyped up fans before the Buffalo Sabres game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Clement, who grew up nearby in Rochester, New York, banged the pregame drum while sporting a custom Sabres jersey. He then led fans in a “Let’s go Buffalo” chant alongside Sabres mascot, Sabretooth.

Sabretooth posted a picture with Clement on his social media account.

This fall, the Blue Jays infielder helped lead his team to their first World Series appearance since 1993. Clement set an MLB record with 30 hits in the postseason. He has played with Toronto since 2023.
