HOLY HELLY
Connor Hellebuyck returns to the net for the Jets tonight against the Washington Capitals. The Jets number one has allowed two goals or fewer in 11 of his last 14 starts and has given his team the timely save. His last start in St. Louis, Hellebuyck helped out when the team went down to 11 forwards, five minutes into the game, especially in the third period when the Blues made their push.
"When we were on our heels a little bit and Connor kept making those big saves for us," said Rick Bowness following the game on Thursday night.
"He is a wall back there and I love the way he competes."

MORE INJURIES
Associate coach Scott Arniel informed the media this morning that the Jets will be without defenceman Logan Stanley and forward Saku Maenalanen for a while. Maenalanen was playing his best hockey of the season on the Jets checking line and was a key part of the penalty kill. Stanley had just come back after an 18-game absence, his injury means that Dylan Samberg will come back into the lineup and will play the left side on Winnipeg's third defence pairing with Nate Schmidt.
OVI WATCH
With the Capitals making their one and only visit to Canada Life Centre, it is another chance for Jets fans to watch one of the greatest goal scorers of all-time, Alexander Ovechkin. The Capitals sniper is four goals away from becoming the third player ever to score 800, joining Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe in that exclusive club. Ovechkin is without his usual centre, Nik Backstrom who hasn't played all season following major hip surgery. The Russian forward will play on a line with Dylan Strome and Conor Sheary.
