FIRST PLACE JETS
Following their win over Florida and the Stars loss to Toronto, Winnipeg moved into first place in the Central Division. Now the challenge is fighting off their divisional rivals to stay there. NHL.com has five teams from the Central (Winnipeg (5), Dallas (7), Colorado (11), Minnesota (14) and Nashville (16)) in their Super 16 power rankings this week. They will be challenged by another Central Division squad in the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center tonight. Rick Bowness and the coaching staff will continue to put pressure on the players to stay at the top of their game and to expect other teams "A" games especially from the Blues who have had an up and down start to their season.

UP AND DOWN BLUES
St. Louis got off to a 3-0 start to the season and then lost in Winnipeg 4-0, followed that with losses in seven straight games after that. That was followed by a seven-game win streak from November 11-21, and they have dropped six of their last eight. It's been a roller coaster ride to say the least, and in their last eight games they have given up three or more goals in one period. That all being said, the Blues are still a good team, they are well coached and are coming off a huge win over the Islanders.
POWER PLAY MOVEMENT
The power play is really going right now for the Jets with at least one power play goal in the last five games, they are 7-for-19 (36.8%) over that stretch. Bowness feels the team is moving the puck quickly and not allowing the opposing penalty kill to relax. Pierre-Luc Dubois, Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey lead the team right now in power play points with 10.
