WPG@ARI: Doans participate in ceremonial puck drop

With the new partnership between the Arizona Coyotes and Arizona State University officially beginning on Friday, there was no better duo to perform the ceremonial puck drop.

Longtime Coyotes captain Shane Doan and his son, Josh, the current Sun Devils captain teamed up for the honor on Friday at Mullett Arena.
Shane Doan was named Coyotes captain for the 2003-04 season and held the honor until his retirement after the 2016-17 season. Josh Doan, a Coyotes prospect taken with the 37th pick of the 2021 NHL Draft, was named Sun Devils captain for this season.
At Arizona State, Josh Doan wears No. 91, the inverse of his father's familiar No 19.
The pair dropped the pucks between Coyotes alternate captain Lawson Crouse and Winnipeg Jets alternate captain Mark Scheifele.
