For the second straight meeting, 60 minutes were not enough between the Blackhawks and the Coyotes, but Alex DeBrincat sealed the victory on the night for the visitors with his 40th of the season. The overtime tally tied the NHL lead for game-ending goals with DeBrincat's fourth of the year.
Jake McCabe and Dominik Kubalik scored in the first period and Alex Vlasic netted his first NHL tallly in the second before Arizona tied it 3-3 late in the third to force overtime. Kevin Lankinen made 32 saves, including several spectacular stops, in the victory.
