The Blackhawks raced out to a 3-0 lead in the opening period-plus at the United Center, but three power-play goals from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the middle frame propelled a six-unanswered-goal comeback as the visitors took a 6-3 final on Sunday afternoon.
Philipp Kurashev, Mattias Janmark and Pius Suter all scored for Chicago while Kevin Lankinen stopped 33 shots in the loss.

STAT OF THE NIGHT: Suter added to his NHL rookie goal lead with his eighth of the season. Kurashev's sixth of the season moved him into a tie for second just behind his Swiss teammate.
UP NEXT: Chicago embarks on a six-game road trip beginning on Tuesday night in Dallas, with Patrick Kane slated to skate in his 1,000th NHL game (7:30 p.m. - NCBSCH)

1st - 10:51 - Philipp Kurashev (Carl Soderberg)

Philipp Kurashev opened the scoring for Chicago with a fantastic finish on a full-line effort. Mattias Janmark won a battle in the corner on a forecheck and the puck found Carl Soderberg at the left dot off a deflection. The veteran center sent a slap pass to the side of the goal for Kurashev, who walked across the top of the crease, fought off a stick check and put a backhander past a sprawled Andrei Vasilevskiy in goal for a 1-0 lead.

1st - 15:34 - Mattias Janmark (Dominik Kubalik, Patrick Kane) -- PPG

The catalyst to the opening scoring sequence, Mattias Janmark, put on a show of skill to double the lead on the game's opening power play. Off an entry rush, Patrick Kane sent a saucer pass ahead to Dominik Kubalik at the bottom of the left circle, where the winger deflected the puck across the crease for his centerman. Janmark batted the Kubalik feed out of mid-air and in for the 2-0 lead.

2nd - 3:11 - Pius Suter (Mattias Janmark)

Chicago took a 3-0 lead early in the second again off a Mattias Janmark corner battle. The forward regained possession of the puck in the right corner and quickly send a backhand feed out front for Pius Suter on the doorstep. The rookie goal leader quickly potted his league-leading eighth of the season.

2nd - 3:51 - Ondrej Palat (Victor Hedman) -- PPG

On Tampa Bay's opening power play, the visitors needed just 11 seconds to strike as Victor Hedman, from the point, sent a pass to Ondrej Palat on the half wall, where the forward walked in and put a wrister past Kevin Lankinen through traffic in front to cut the lead to 3-1.

2nd - 4:14 - Yanni Gourde (Erik Cernak)

The Lightning struck again 23 seconds later as Yanni Gourde walked into the zone and put a shot on goal that Kevin Lankinen turned aside with the pad, but Gourde followed up on his own rebound and put a low-angle second chance past Lankinen to make it a 3-2 game.

2nd - 7:51 - Victor Hedman (Brayden Point, Ondrej Palat) -- PPG

Tampa tied the game on their second man advantage as Victor Hedman, who set up the first power-play tally, kept it himself the second time around with a shot from the point through that was aided by a jumping Alex Killorn screen in front to make it a 3-3 contest.

2nd - 16:55 - Yanni Gourde (Mikhail Sergachev) -- PPG

The Lightning took their first lead of the afternoon with their third power-play tally before the middle frame's end, as Yanni Gourde's shot from the top of the circle got past Kevin Lankinen through a screen in front for a 4-3 advantage.

3rd - 14:25 - Alex Killorn (Yanni Gourde, Ryan McDonagh)

Alex Killorn added a fifth straight goal for Tampa in the third period, putting a wrist shot just under the bar from the top of the left circle for a 5-3 advantage late.

The Lightning doubled up on the Blackhawks with 2:35 remaining on the clock as Pat Maroon cleaned up a rebound in front off a Yanni Gourde shot for the 6-3 lead in the dying minutes of the game.
