The Blackhawks swept the Southern California part of their trip with a 4-3 shootout win over the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena.
Patrick Kane, Alex DeBrincat and Sam Lafferty all scored in regulation before DeBrincat scored the winning shootout attempt, the lone skater to score for either team. Collin Delia made 43 saves on 46 shots (.935 SV%) in 65 minutes of play and was a perfect 3-for-3 in the shootout.

1st - 16:44 - Patrick Kane (Alex DeBrincat, Erik Gustafsson)

After being on their heels for most of the opening frame, the visitors struck first in LA. Erik Gustafsson set up Alex DeBrincat for a one-timer in the high slot with the winger's low shot missing the to the left. The puck took a perfect kick off the end boards though and right to Patrick Kane at the side of the cage for a low-angle score over a sprawled Jonathan Quick and a 1-0 lead.

2nd - 2:13 - Trevor Moore (Sean Durzi) -- SH

Chicago's first power play of the game went the other way just eight seconds in as Trevor Moore was sprung on a breakaway off the opening draw in the Kings end. The forward was all alone from the red line in, faking to the backhand before tucking a shot around the pad of Collin Delia for a 1-1 game.

2nd - 12:41 - Alex DeBrincat (Dylan Strome, Patrick Kane)

The Blackhawks regained the lead just past the game's midpoint as the top line converted once again from behind the goal line. Dylan Strome gathered the puck behind the net and patiently waited as Alex DeBrincat drove the slot from a wide angle. Strome fed a one-timer to DeBrincat for the quick put back on goal, tucking a shot under the arm of Jonathan Quick for a 2-1 score.

2nd - 16:50 - Phillip Danault (Anze Kopitar, Sean Durzi) -- PP

The Kings' special teams struck again, this time on the power play. Sean Durzi from the point, slid a pass to Anze Koptiar at the side of the cage for a quick shot turned aside by Collin Delia, but former Blackhawk Phillip Danault quickly tucked the rebound between the legs of the Chicago netminder for a 2-2 tie.

2nd - 18:09 - Sam Lafferty (Taylor Raddysh, Seth Jones)

Chicago answered right back to take the lead again before the period's end as Sam Lafferty pulled a quick backhand move around Jonathan Quick. Taylor Raddysh slid a slick pass to Lafferty at the doorstep, where the winger pulled a puck from forehand to backhand before tucking a shot past the stick of Quick for a 3-2 lead.

3rd - 9:07 - Phillip Danault (Viktor Arvidsson, Sean Durzi)

Viktor Arvidsson put a shot from the wall towards goal that got deflected on its way towards the net before a toe save from Collin Delia, but for the second time on the night Phillip Danault was waiting at the edge of the blue paint for a tap-in rebound and a 3-3 game.
