As mentioned above, the Sens skated in Ottawa this morning before heading to Manitoba for tonight's pre-season game which, according to the coach, offers a unique situation to try and manage.
"The challenge is that we won't have our legs. We had a day off yesterday so that's a double whammy right there. It's a lot to manage," said Guy Boucher about traveling on a game day this morning. "Usually you get your legs until the second period in those types of moments. We're aware of it and we've talked about it so we want to start the first period and push as hard as we can to accelerate that process of getting our legs."
While he won't play tonight, Sens captain Erik Karlsson spoke with the media for the first time since he resumed skating and provided an update on his recovery.
