Three second-period goals 3:51 apart helped Philadelphia defeat New York

Carsen Twarynski, Phil Varone and Danick Martel scored 3:51 apart late in the second period to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-1 win against the New York Islanders at Barclays Center.

James de Haas and Jori Lehtera also scored for the Flyers, and Anthony Stolarz made 31 saves.
David Quenneville scored for the Islanders in the second period. Robin Lehner allowed four goals on 22 shots in 39:32. Christopher Gibson made seven saves.
Flyers goalie Alex Lyon sustained a lower-body injury during warmups.
