Tom Kuhnhackl (1-2-3) had a career-high three points, including the game-winning goal at 15:54 of the second period, to lead the Pittsburgh Penguins to their sixth consecutive win.

WEDGEWOOD BACKSTOPS DEVILS TO VICTORY IN NHL DEBUT
Making his NHL debut, Scott Wedgewood turned aside 27 of 28 shots to help the New Jersey Devils to their fourth win in their past six games (4-2-0). Elias notes that Wedgewood, a third-round selection (No. 84) in the 2010 NHL Draft, became the first Devils goaltender to earn a win in his NHL debut since Martin Brodeur on March 26, 1992 vs. BOS (4-2 W). At 35-31-7 (77 points), the Devils climbed within six points of the idle Detroit Red Wings (36-25-11, 83 points) for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference.

DUCKS, SHARKS INCH CLOSER TO PACIFIC DIVISION LEAD
The Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks picked up victories to inch closer to first place in the Pacific Division, where the top three teams are separated by five points.

with 58.6 seconds left in the extra period to lead the Ducks to an 8-2-1 record in their past 11 road games. At 40-22-9 (89 points), the Ducks moved within four points of the idle Los Angeles Kings (44-22-5, 93 points) for first place in the Pacific Division.
* James Reimer turned aside all 25 shots he faced to help the Sharks to their fourth straight win at SAP Center. Reimer picked up his third straight victory and has two shutouts in four games since being acquired by the Sharks (March 8 at EDM). At 41-25-6 (88 points), the Sharks remained a point back of the Ducks for second place in the Pacific Division.

* Calvin Pickard made 26 saves and Gabriel Landeskog collected 1-1-2 to help the Colorado Avalanche improve to 5-1-0 in their past six games, including three straight wins.
