PHILADELPHIA -- Anders Lee had a goal and three assists for the New York Islanders in a 6-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.

Brock Nelson scored twice, and Leo Komarov, Anthony Beauvillier and Adam Pelech also scored for New York (4-4-1). Goalie Robin Lehner made 22 saves.

"You could tell we had our legs today," Lee said. "We knew we had to get off to a good start. Obviously a tough road trip here. With a one o'clock game we wanted to get into this pretty quick. I think our first period was pretty good and to put two in and to play from there was huge. From top to bottom we had a full team effort."
Jori Lehtera scored for Philadelphia (4-7-0), which lost its third straight game (0-3-0). Goalie Michal Neuvirth, in his first start of the season, made 16 saves.
Komarov gave the Islanders a 1-0 lead at 11:38 of the first period when he tipped an Adam Pelech shot past Neuvirth.

It was the 10th time in 11 games the Flyers have allowed the game's first goal.
"I think when you want it too much you press a little harder, you get away from what you're supposed to be doing," Flyers forward Claude Giroux said. "You're just pressing, and I feel like we're pressing right now. We're tired of losing so we're trying to do everything we can to make something happen. But sometimes it's not always the right thing."
Beauvillier scored his first of the season at 13:20 of the first to make it 2-0. Mathew Barzal won a puck battle along the wall on the right side of the Flyers zone and dropped it for Jordan Eberle. He found an open Beauvillier on the left side.
"Feels good to get on the board," said Beauvillier, who scored 21 goals last season but had been without a point this season until Saturday.
Nelson made it 3-0 for the Islanders at 4:58 of the second period, finishing a 2-on-1 rush with Josh Bailey. He has four goals during a three-game goal streak.

"I just try to play aggressive, be on attack, all while being smart," Nelson said. "Playing with Anders and [Bailey], they're going to get you the puck and make good plays. A couple of times I was able to see that and get some good looks."
Lehtera scored to make it 3-1 at 6:28 of the second.
Pelech's goal at 8:17 of the third period to make it 4-1, Nelson scored at 8:58 to make it 5-1, and Lee's power-play goal at 11:09 pushed the lead to 6-1.
The Flyers have lost four of six home games, (2-4-0) and start a four-game road trip at the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.
Last season they ended a 10-game losing streak with a three-game sweep through Western Canada. They're hoping for similar luck this season.
"When you go on the road for a long time with your teammates, you get a little closer," Giroux said. "That's what we need right now, we need to get closer as a team. We need to go out there and play for each other. This road trip is going to be very important for the season."

They said it

"I think playing with the lead is one thing that stood out. We were in the same situation a couple nights ago against Florida (3-2 overtime loss Wednesday) and tonight we kept to our game and stayed on them and it worked out well." -- Islanders defenseman Adam Pelech
"It's tough right now. We've got to weather the storm. Lot of season left. I know these guys in this locker room, I know this team. I know the heart we have, the skill we have. I know we're going to dig ourselves out." -- Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere
