Max Scherzer Loves the Caps

Washington Nationals pitcher and D.C. celebrity Max Scherzer was in the house Tuesday night for the Capitals vs. Red Wings matchup with his wife Erica May-Scherzer. He was shown in-game on the jumbotron in the second period to a a big applause.

You may remember the last time we saw Mad Max at Capital One Arena where he led the "Let's Go Caps" chant with teammate Ryan Zimmerman at game four of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Scherzer is an avid hockey fan and loves attending Caps games when he has the chance.
Max was able to see the Cup in person back in June when the Capitals took Lord Stanley to Nats Park where they continued their celebration. Alex Ovechkin even threw out the first pitch to Scherzer.
