Johnny Oduya, who last skated for the Sens back on January 20th against Toronto, is set to return to the blue line this evening. Oduya has appeared in 39 games for Ottawa this season recording 6 points (2G, 4A) and is expected to resume his role on the top defensive pairing with Erik Karlsson.
Speaking of Karlsson, the Sens captain is in line to play in his 600th NHL game tonight.
"I've been very fortunate to play a lot of games in this league which isn't an easy thing to do," said Karlsson about his impending milestone. "I'm looking forward though and hopefully I get another 600."
Head coach Guy Boucher shared that Nate Thompson (day-to-day) could also be available tonight. Thompson has missed 8 of the Sens' last 9 games with an injury but signs look positive for the centre's return as he's expected to take warm-up and play tonight.
If Thompson checks back in, it's expected that Colin White will be the extra forward this evening while Fredrik Claesson comes out for the returning Oduya.
