Las Vegas names Murray Craven senior VP

The Las Vegas NHL expansion team on Thursday named Murray Craven as senior vice president, the Review-Journal reported.
Craven, 52, served as an adviser to owner Bill Foley for more than two years.
"It's just a title," Craven told the newspaper. "It really doesn't change anything. Whatever hat Bill and [general manager] George [McPhee] wants me to wear, I'll wear."

Craven is responsible for identifying the Las Vegas team's American Hockey League affiliate and developing a relationship with it. He also is overseeing construction of the team's suburban practice facility and its locker room at T-Mobile Arena.
The Las Vegas franchise will begin play as the League's 31st team in the 2017-18 season. Foley said last week he hopes to have a nickname, logo and color scheme in place in time for two NHL preseason games at T-Mobile Arena on Oct. 7 and 8 (the Los Angeles Kings play the Dallas Stars and the Colorado Avalanche).
Craven had 266 goals and 493 assists in 1,071 regular-season games over 18 NHL seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks, Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks.
