NEW YORK -- Calgary Flames forward Ryan Strome has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson during NHL Game No. 1239 in Dallas on Tuesday, April 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 0:45 of overtime. Strome was assessed a double-minor penalty for high-sticking.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
