Anze Kopitar completed his final NHL regular season with one last sendoff.

The Calgary Flames and their fans gave the Los Angeles Kings captain a standing ovation in recognition of his stellar two decades-long career on Thursday.

A special message congratulating Kopitar aired on the Scotiabank Saddledome video board.

After, fans got to their feet to applaud Kopitar and both teams gave him stick taps. Kopitar then saluted the crowd at center ice.

Before the game, Kopitar’s kids, Neza and Jakob, watched him warm up from the Kings bench one final time.

Kopitar announced his retirement from the NHL after 20 seasons in September. He has served as the Kings captain since 2016. The veteran forward won two Stanley Cups with the team in 2012 and 2014.
