Facts and Figures: Marchand of Bruins fourth to 50 points in 2019-20

Brad Marchand became the fourth player in the NHL to get 50 points this season and first with an Eastern Conference team with two assists to help the Boston Bruins defeat the Florida Panthers 4-2 at BB&T Center on Saturday.

The forward has scored 19 goals with 31 assists, making him the first Bruins skater with at least 50 points in 34 or fewer games since Adam Oates (50 points; 14 goals, 36 assists in 31 games) in 1995-96.

The 2019-20 season is the first with at least four 50-point scorers through 514 games since 1996-97, when Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Wayne Gretzky, Joe Sakic and Mats Sundin reached the milestone.

Eichel achieves season-high point streak for Sabres

Jack Eichel had one goal and one assist for the Buffalo Sabres in a 3-2 overtime loss to the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum to extend his point streak to 16 games, the longest in the NHL this season.
Eichel has 29 points (15 goals, 14 assists) during his NHL career-high streak, which passed Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane's 15 games (24 points; 11 goals, 13 assists) from Nov. 2-30. His run is also tied for the fourth-longest in Sabres history.

Blues rally from three goals down to defeat Blackhawks

The St. Louis Blues scored four unanswered goals in the third period to rally from trailing by three goals and defeat the Blackhawks 4-3 at Enterprise Center. It was the second time in Blues history that they came back from down at least three goals in the third to win a regular-season game (6-5 in overtime against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 29, 2000, after trailing 5-0).

St. Louis has rallied from down 3-0 in the third to win three times in the Stanley Cup Playoffs:
Game 4 of the 1968 Semifinals (4-3 overtime win against the Minnesota North Stars), Game 6 of the 1986 Division Finals (6-5 overtime win against the Calgary Flames) and Game 3 of the 1998 Conference Quarterfinals (4-3 win against the Los Angeles Kings). The Blues (20-8-6) moved past the Colorado Avalanche (21-8-3) for first in the Western Conference.

Andersen wins No. 200 for Maple Leafs

Frederik Andersen made 36 saves for his 200th NHL win to help the Maple Leafs defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-1. He reached the milestone in 344 games (200-87-41), tying him with Chris Osgood for the fourth fastest in NHL history. Only Ken Dryden (309), Braden Holtby (319) and Jacques Plante (340) earned their 200th win in fewer games.

Andersen is 12-0-1 with a 2.07 goals-against average and .932 save percentage in 13 games against the Oilers. He lost 4-3 in overtime with the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 11, 2015.

Reimer helps Hurricanes to 20th win in 33rd game

James Reimer made 32 saves to help the Carolina Hurricanes end the Calgary Flames' seven-game winning streak with a 4-0 victory at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Hurricanes (20-11-2) reached 20 wins in 33 or fewer games for the second time in their history (20-9-2 in 2005-06). They also won their 50th regular-season game since Jan. 1 (50-23-4), a team record for most in a calendar year to pass the 49 set in 2006 (49-27-8). Their 50 wins are tied with the Blues (50-18-11) for most among all NHL teams.
