Edmundson to return to lineup Tuesday

ST. LOUIS - Defenseman Joel Edmundson will return to the lineup Tuesday after missing 12 games with an upper-body injury.
"I'm feeling good. This is probably the best day I've had so far," Edmundson said after Monday's team practice. "I've skated for three weeks now. I feel like I can jump right into the game."
Edmundson's return comes at the perfect time. Robert Bortuzzo, who filled in during Edmundson's absence, is now week-to-week with a lower-body injury sustained in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said the Blues would likely call up an extra defenseman before their upcoming four-game road trip.
"(Bortuzzo) is week to week. We'll look at him in two weeks," Hitchcock said. "We'll stay with the six guys right now and then we'll decide what we're going to do to take on the road… Eddie was ready for three or four days, we just wanted to put him in every battle situation we could. He's worked really hard to make sure he's pain free there and ready to go."
"He plays with an edge. He's a great component to our D-core," Allen said. "To have him back, he plays the game simple, plays hard every night and blocks shot. (Bortuzzo) was playing great while he was in and it was unfortunate what happened, but 'Eddie' can come in and replace that hole. He's going to do a great job."
Edmundson has played in 13 games for the Blues this season, posting one assist and 17 penalty minutes.
