Jared McCann scored with 58 seconds remaining in overtime, and the Seattle Kraken rallied for a 2-1 preseason win against the Edmonton Oilers at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington, on Friday.
Jaden Schwartz tied it 1-1 for Seattle with 57.1 seconds left in the third period and goalie Joey Daccord pulled for the extra attacker. Brendan Perlini scored, and Stuart Skinner made 22 saves for the Oilers. Mark Giordano had two assists, and Philipp Grubauer saved 16 of 17 shots playing the first two periods for the expansion Kraken, who are 3-1-0 through four of six preseason games. Daccord made eight saves.
