DAL@MIN: Radulov goes short side for OT winner

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Alexander Radulov scored with 10 seconds left in overtime to give the Dallas Stars a 2-1 win against the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday.

Jamie Benn scored and Ben Bishop made 30 saves for Dallas (18-15-3).
"It's a big point game there, a four-point game," Bishop said. "Both teams, I don't think, are where they want to be at this point in the season. So obviously we're both really gunning for that win and it's just nice to come out on top."

Jason Zucker scored with 2:03 remaining in the third period for the Wild (17-15-3), who lost their fourth straight game. Devan Dubnyk made 25 saves.
"Dallas is a good team. They've been a good team for a long time," Zucker said. "They've got a lot of great defensemen that can skate. They don't give you a lot of time and space to make plays, so you've got to just keep throwing pucks at the net and battle and hope they bounce that way."

EA Sports Overtime Winner: Radulov gets his fifth

Benn redirected a centering pass from Radulov at 1:58 of the third period to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.
Zucker tied the game 1-1 at 17:57 on a rebound after Bishop made an initial pad save against Mikael Granlund.
"We've got to be able to replicate it and keep that going and do it earlier in games and not wait till the 58th minute," Zucker said. "But again, sometimes that's the way it goes."
Each team had 2-on-1 opportunities during the overtime, but each hit the goal post.
Radulov then won it when he beat Dubnyk from the right circle after a cross-ice feed from John Klingberg at 4:50 of overtime.
"I think overall it was a close game," Radulov said. "They play pretty solid. Both goalies played unbelievable today and we had some chances at the end.
"Then, there was two posts (in overtime), them then us, and it was kind of going back and forth. It was good to get that one extra point today."

DAL@MIN: Zucker locates rebound, lights the lamp

The Stars successfully killed off a four-minute penalty following a fight between Roman Polak and Luke Kunin at 12:31 of the second period after Polak also received penalties for roughing and instigating.
"I give credit to Roman Polak because after his fight, that four-minute kill," Stars coach Jim Montgomery said. "We were desperate, and we carried it off and now we were in the fight. It was a great game back and forth."

They said it

"[This win is] important, but it's important we do it again tomorrow night [against the Islanders]. We haven't done well in back-to-backs. We've actually done poor, just like we have in the third period. It's time to start turning the tables so that we can enjoy Christmas break and have some confidence going into those situations in the second half." -- Stars coach Jim Montgomery

DAL@MIN: Benn crashes the net, slams puck home

"It's like a game of golf in that we just played the first nine holes and we shot 45, but there's no reason [considering] we've got the talent to shoot 37 on the back nine. That'll make a great round. And that's what we have to do. I mean, it makes your sense of urgency a little bit sooner than you'd like it to be, but you don't wait until Game 41 to say this is the halfway mark. We'll start right on Game 36 and when we start after Christmas it'll be our second half, or our back nine. And we'll just have to start there. You'd like to be like Tampa [Bay], 20 games over .500 right now where you've got that equity if you lose. But we're not going to have that luxury." -- Wild coach Bruce Boudreau
