GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations & General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Jordan Oesterle to a two-year contract extension through the 2020-21 season. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"Jordan has been a great fit for our organization on and off the ice," said Chayka. "His mobility and playmaking from the back end has really complemented our style of play well and we're excited to have him committed long-term."
The 6-foot, 182-pound Oesterle has registered a career-best 6-14-20 and 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 51 games with the Coyotes this season. The 26-year-old native of Dearborn Heights, MI has registered 11-30-41 and 18 PIM in 131 career NHL games with the Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers.
"I am very happy to sign a two-year extension with the Coyotes," said Oesterle. "We have a great group of young, talented players here in Arizona and I am excited about our future. I'm looking forward to being a Coyote for many years to come."
Oesterle was acquired by the Coyotes in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on July 12, 2018.
