Bedard with Wembanyama split

Everyone loves a good crossover episode, and the NHL and NBA just dropped a good one.

On Wednesday, Chicago Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard met up with top NBA draft pick Victor Wembanyama at Fifth Third Arena, the Blackhawks' practice home, and it looks like the two hit it off pretty well.

The stark height difference between the two No. 1 overall draft picks is impossible to ignore, with the 7-foot-4 San Antonio Spurs power forward towering over the 5-foot-10 Bedard, but that’s not a problem since only one of those guys has to dunk.

Wembanyama is in town for a game against the Chicago Bulls and got a tour of the Blackhawks practice facility from Bedard before the two swapped signed jerseys. They then sat down for an interview and got to talk a little bit of hockey.

Wembanyama also picked up a hockey stick and took some slap shots with Bedard. And then Wembanyama challenged Bedard to a face off, and even pulled off the upset.

Now that Wembanyama has shown off his hockey skills, it might soon be time for Bedard to show off his jump shot.
