Cash wears money tie, socks for U.S. Hall of Fame induction ceremony
Paralympic's family play off their name, go all in on outfit choice

There was no mistaking the Steve Cash family at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Saint Paul RiverCentre in Minnesota on Wednesday.
Cash, a three-time Paralympic gold medalist and five-time world champion goaltender, sported a 100-dollar bill decorated tie and socks, along with his three brothers and dad, too. "Dolla, dolla bill, ya'll," Cash said with a smile. "It was my brother's idea. He decided at the last minute he was going to order some money ties for everyone in homage of the last name 'Cash'."
Cash, nicknamed 'Money' by his teammates, is the first sled player to be inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. He 103-16-7-33 (W-OTW-OTL-L) with a 1.22 goals-against average and .898 save percentage in 16 seasons with the U.S. before retiring in 2021. The U.S. Paralympic team honored Cash by making snow angels on the ice before their game against Canada on Wednesday.
"It's definitely special to be the first [Paralympic athlete inducted], but I know that I'm certainly not going to be the last," said Cash. "But that wouldn't be without the teammates that I had along the way. You know, they grinded it out with me. This isn't just for me, it's for them as well. I can definitely attribute a lot of what I've been able to accomplish to them."
