MIN@CAR: Canes imitate March Madness in Storm Surge

The Carolina Hurricanes know it's March Madness time.

For the latest Storm Surge, the Hurricanes broke out a basketball hoop and set up a play following their 5-1 win against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
Defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk was the point guard, and he ended up calling his own number.
Forward Greg McKegg came out to defend but a screen from Calvin de Haan sprung van Riemsdyk, who threw down a dunk with authority.
As he was skating off the ice, van Riemsdyk paid homage to one of the all-time greatest dunkers by pulling out Vince Carter's famous "It's over" gesture from the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

After the slam, "One Shining Moment," the song traditionally played at the end of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, played over the PNC Arena sound system.
