BOS@NYR: Panarin gives Rangers lead on breakaway goal

Artemi Panarin had a goal and two assists in his preseason debut to help the New York Rangers defeat the Boston Bruins 3-2 at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
Panarin made it 3-2 on a breakaway at 19:00, the last of five goals in the second period. Anthony Bitetto gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead at 3:35, their first goal of the preseason. The Rangers lost to the New York Islanders 4-0 on Sunday. Kaapo Kakko made it 2-0 at 7:22 before Jack Studnicka cut it to 2-1 at 8:46. Urho Vaakanainen tied it 2-2 at 15:29 with a 4-on-4 goal. Igor Shesterkin made 11 saves on 12 shots in 30:21 for New York, and Tyler Wall saved 15 of 16 shots in relief. Linus Ullmark, making his Boston debut after signing a four-year contract July 28, allowed two goals on 13 shots playing 30:21. Kyle Keyser allowed one goal on eight shots.
