PLAYING WELL ON THE ROAD
Winnipeg has won five of six on the road and are playing some of their best hockey away from Canada Life Centre. It's a perfect time for them to head out before the Christmas break and they have two excellent teams as opponents starting with the Boston Bruins tonight. Rick Bowness has a solid template with his team's performance in Vancouver last weekend.
"We didn't give up much at all. We protected the middle of the ice, we scored on the opportunities that we were given," said Bowness after the Jets skate in Boston.
"Special teams were good. If we can play like that, that's how we want to play."

CHANGE OF D PAIRINGS
In the third period on Tuesday, the Jets changed their defence pairings with Brendan Dillon skating with Ville Heinola and Neal Pionk paired with Dylan Samberg. During training camp, Heinola and Dillon played together, so there is some familiarity there.
"Dilly just gives him (Heinola) that physical presence that he might need. Again, his first game was like the last game. We brought him (Heinola) up against Carolina and he was just a little unsure out there," said Bowness.
"I talked to him on the ice today. You got Taylor Hall coming and Brad Marchand coming at you. You have to be ready tonight. They've got a great left side and they play fast."
CONNOR PLAYING WELL
Connor Hellebuyck is feeling better and will start tonight. The other Connor, Kyle Connor, is really heating up and it couldn't happen at a better time with the Jets schedule being what it is. Connor tallied his fifth multi-point game during his 10-game point streak on Tuesday. This is the second time in his career that he's had a point streak of 10 games (Mar. 8-25/22). Connor is third in NHL scoring since Nov. 23 with 23 points (10G, 13A) in 15 games.
