WINNIPEG, Oct. 11, 2021 - The Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose Hockey Clubs return to regular season action this week, kicking off the 2022-23 season with the Jets Home Opener presented by Canada Life on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. CT vs. the New York Rangers, the Moose Home Opener presented by Canada Life on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. CT vs. the Rockford IceHogs, followed by an encore Moose vs. IceHogs matchup on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. CT.
Exciting additions to the gameday experience for 2022-23 include the energy of a new pre-game party featuring $6 domestic beer from doors to the end of warmup, new concessions, an expanded flagship Jets Gear store, and new ways to win through the Jets and Moose 50/50 draw. Jets Home Opener highlights include a sweetened 50/50 pot starting at a record-high $50,000, fan photo ops with the Lady Byng Trophy, live entertainment courtesy of the Dirty Catfish Brass Band and DJs on the concourse, and plenty of prizes and giveaways throughout the game. The Manitoba Moose Home Opener also features live drummers, a photo booth on the concourse presented by Canada Life, as well as a new neon antler photo-op location.
Fans will also engage with the team in new ways across social and digital platforms, with exclusive new live and behind-the-scenes content premiering on Oct. 14.

New this year, the Jets will hold several multi-day 50/50 draws during select road trips throughout the season. The multi-day draws will run throughout predetermined road trips with early bird draws of $5,000 for each away game on the trip. The final day of each multi-day draw will fall on the Jets' first home game following the road trip, and the winner will take home 50 percent of the pot from all tickets purchased during that road trip and the first home game back at Canada Life Centre. The first multi-day draw takes place from Oct. 17 to 22. Jets and TNYF social channels will be the source for announcements on subsequent multi-day draws and sweetened pots. Pre-game music, mingling and $6 beer
Fans can arrive early to experience the collective energy of the Winnipeg Jets fan community from doors to the end of warmup each game in one of three activated spaces in the concourse - the atrium, Red Light Bar and Observation Deck - where live DJs and the Winnipeg Jets promo team will set the stage for fun and start the fan pump-up early. Domestic beer will be featured for $6 until the end of warmup (15 minutes before puck drop) in these activation areas.
Introducing Chef Richard Duncan and new Canada Life Centre concessions
Canada Life Centre welcomes new Executive Head Chef Richard Duncan this season. Duncan is a Red Seal Chef and honours graduate of the Red River College Culinary Arts program. He has worked his way up through the culinary world at places like Winnipeg's Mona Lisa, Fairmont Lake Louise, Hilton Suites Winnipeg, in the Chef de Cuisine role for Oliver & Bonacini in Toronto, and most recently as the Executive Sous-Chef at the Fairmont Winnipeg. Duncan has more than 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry with an innate ability to create, build and develop flavour profiles, fine-tune recipes and a drive to continuously elevate his plating techniques.
Fans can look forward to exciting new menu offerings at several concessions, along with returning traditional gameday favourites. Features include a two-foot Monster Double Jet Dog, Chicken Adobo Skewers, Bison Chili & Jalapeno Corn Fritters, new sweet feature Chocolate Dipped Seafoam, and all-new Tasty Tots concession stands outside Sections 113 and 308, featuring a lineup of tater tot inspired dishes like Ruben Tots.
Jets and Moose Season Ticket Members always receive concession discounts on fan-favourite items including pizza, popcorn, domestic beer, water, and fountain pop as part of their membership benefits.
Re-designed Jets Gear Store and new merchandise lines
The Canada Life Centre Jets Gear store at the corner of Portage Avenue and Hargrave Street has been redesigned for this season to create an enhanced guest experience. An additional 750 square feet of space expands the store's footprint by nearly 50 percent, allowing for more displays and a more comfortable shopping experience. Jets Gear is excited to feature new lines Sportique and Line Change, along with favourite brands Levelwear, Fanatics and Adidas.
