The New York Islanders look to get back into the win column as they take on the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night at UBS Arena.
The Islanders are coming off a stretch where they had five games in eight days and suffered a 2-1 loss in the latter half of a back-to-back set to the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night. The loss ended the Islanders' point streak at six games (5-0-1). Casey Cizikas scored the lone goal, while Ilya Sorokin made 35 saves.

The Senators enter the matchup coming off a 5-1 loss to Montreal on Saturday night. Josh Norris scored the Sens' sole goal on the power play, while Filip Gustavsson made 22 saves for Ottawa. The Sens were busy on Monday's Trade Deadline as they finalized the acquisitions of former Islander Travis Hamonic from Vancouver, Mathieu Joseph from Tampa Bay and Zach Senyshyn from Boston.
The Islanders will look to sweep their season series against Ottawa in the third and final meeting of the season. The Islanders last defeated the Senators 4-1 at UBS Arena on February 1st and also picked up a 5-3 win back in December.

• While the Islanders did not make any trades on Monday, they re-signed Cal Clutterbuck and Zach Parise to contract extensions. Clutterbuck was signed to a two-year deal, while Parise signed for next season.

• Sorokin made his 41st start of the season, while his record dropped to 21-13-7. The Russian netminder has a 2.29 GAA, a .927 SV% and six shutouts.
Anders Lee's point streak ended at seven games where he matched his career-high of 11 points (9G, 2A). The Islanders' captain has totaled 31 points this season (23G, 8A) through 54 games.
• Defenseman Sebastian Aho and winger Kieffer Bellows drew back in the lineup in place of Andy Greene and Cal Clutterbuck, who were both listed as day-to-day (maintenance) by the team ahead of warmup.

• Norris scored his team-leading 26th goal of the season and 13th on the power play. The 22-year-old centerman now has goals in back-to-back games as well as seven goals in his last seven games. Norris has also now established a career best in points with 36 (26G, 10A) through 46 games.
• Gustavsson made his 13th start of the season, while his record dropped to 3-11-1. The Swedish netminder has a 3.78 GAA and a .886 SV% this season.
• Ottawa was 1-for-2 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill against Montreal. In the NHL, the Sens rank 23rd on the power play at 18.7% while they rank 15th on the penalty kill at 80.0%.
• The Senators are led in scoring by captain Brady Tkachuk who has produced 44 points (20G, 24A) through 59 games this season.
• Ottawa averages the fourth-fewest goals for per game with a nightly average of 2.60. Conversely, they relinquish the 10-most goals against per game in the league at 3.27.
