At long last, the New York Islanders are back in the win column.
The Islanders snapped an 11-game winless skid on Tuesday night, beating the Ottawa Senators 5-3 at Canadian Tire Centre.
Anders Lee (2G) and Oliver Wahlstrom powered a three-goal second period of the Islanders, while Kieffer Bellows and JG Pageau scored in the third. In the process, the Islanders picked up their first win since Nov. 6 in Winnipeg and while the Islanders snapped a lengthy losing streak, they extended their current point streak to four games (1-0-3).
Josh Norris (PPG), Nick Holden and Alex Formenton (SHG) scored for the Senators, who saw their three-game winning streak come to a close.
