The New York Islanders beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Monday night at UBS Arena in the first leg of their home-and-home back-to-back set.
Brock Nelson, Casey Cizikas, Anthony Beauvillier and Matt Martin (empty net) scored, while Ilya Sorokin made 26 saves on 27 shots in the win.

Travis Konecny scored the Flyers' sole goal, while Martin Jones made 27 saves on 30 shots for the Flyers.

11:44 - NYI 1, PHI 0 - Brock Nelson wired a wrist shot past Martin Jones to score the icebreaker and give the Islanders a 1-0 lead. Josh Bailey and Andy Greene earned the assists.
14:28 - NYI 2, PHI 0 - Casey Cizikas redirected Robin Salo's initial wrist shot deflected past Jones to double the Islanders' lead 2-0. Salo and Matt Martin picked up the assists.
17:12 - PHI 1, NYI 2 - Travis Konecny's shot deflected off Noah Dobson and went past Ilya Sorokin to cut Philadelphia's deficit down 2-1. Travis Sanheim and Scott Laughton registered the assists.
Third Period:
4:44 - NYI 3, PHI 1 - Anthony Beauvillier buried a loose puck in the low slot to extend the Islanders' lead 3-1. Oliver Wahlstrom and Brock Nelson tallied the assists.
18:37 - NYI 4, PHI 1, ENG -Matt Martin scored on the Flyers' empty net to pad the Islanders' lead 4-1. Cal Clutterbuck and Adam Pelech dished out the assists.
