The New York Islanders defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night at UBS Arena. The Islanders never led in the game until they'd won, but they managed to pull even every time the Blue Jackets scored.
Zach Parise had the game-winner less than a minute into overtime. Brock Nelson also scored twice for the Islanders, and Scott Mayfield scored the game-tying goal late in the third period. Emil Bemstrom, Cole Sillinger and Marcus Bjork scored for the Blue Jackets.

9:46 - CBJ 3, NYI 2 - Marcus Bjork scores his first NHL goal after he steps into a slapper off an Islander turnover in the defensive zone. Emil Bemstrom and Gustav Nyquist pick up the assists.
12:51 - NYI 3, CBJ 3 - Scott Mayfield goes to his backhand to lift the puck over Korpisalo to tie the game. Mathew Barzal and Oliver Wahlstrom pick up the assists.
Overtime:
0:39 - NYI 4, CBJ 3 - Jean Gabriel Pageau feeds Zach Parise, who scores on an odd-man rush. Adam Pelech earns the secondary assist.
