The New York Islanders four-game winning streak came to an end on Thursday, as the Isles fell 6-5 to the Vancouver Canucks at UBS Arena.
Kyle Palmieri, Brock Nelson, Mathew Barzal (1G, 2A) and Bo Horvat (1G, 1A) had the Islanders up 4-2, but Vancouver scored four straight goals in the final 24 minutes to steal the game, despite a late power-play goal from Noah Dobson (1G, 1A).
Elias Pettersson had two goals and an assist in the Canucks comeback, while former Anthony Beauvillier (PPG) was credited with the eventual game-winner. Nils Aman, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Brock Boeser (1G, 2A) also scored.
The Islanders six goals against were the most allowed by the team since allowing five goals on Jan. 23 vs the Toronto Maple Leafs.

1st Period:
11:05 - NYI 1, VAN 0 - Kyle Palmieri rips a wrister top shelf past Colin Delia. The goal is Palmieri's second in the past three games and eighth of the season. Josh Bailey and Adam Pelech with the assists.

11:44 - NYI 1, VAN 1 - The Canucks answer right back, as Oliver Ekman-Larsson floats a wrister from the point through an Anthony Beauvillier screen and past Ilya Sorokin.
12:30 - VAN 2, NYI 1 - Brock Boeser puts the Canucks ahead, beating Sorokin from the edge of the slot after snapping a feed from JT Miller. Riley Stillman with the secondary assist.
14:34 - NYI 2, VAN 2 - Brock Nelson scores his 20th goal of the season, keeping, shooting and scoring on a two-on-one rush.

2nd Period:
2:26 - NYI 3, VAN 2 - One second after an Islanders power play expires, Mathew Barzal one times a Noah Dobson feed high short side past Delia. The goal comes after Bo Horvat's would-be power-play goal is overturned due to a goalie interference call.

4:38 - NYI 4, VAN 4 PPG - Elias Pettersson one times a feed from Quinn Hughes through traffic to tie the score. Miller picks up the secondary assist for his second point of the night.
8:28 - VAN 5, NYI 4 - Pettersson scores his second goal of the period, snapping a shot underneath Sorokin's glove from the right dot. Boeser and Ethan Bear with the assists.
16:58 - VAN 6, NYI 4 PPG - Anthony Beauvillier tips a Boeser shot past Sorokin for his first goal as a Canuck. It holds up as the game-winner. Quinn Hughes with the secondary assist.
19:11 - VAN 6, NYI 5PPG - Noah Dobson beats a screened Colin Delia to make it 6-5 late, but that's as close as the Islanders come. Barzal and Horvat with the assists.

Brock Nelson extends his career-long point streak to nine games with 10 points (5G, 5A) over that span... Mathew Barzal extended his point streak to four games (3G, 1A)... Ilya Sorokin's shutout streak ended at 144:00... The Islanders scored four goals in consecutive games for the first time since Dec. 23 and 27... Pettersson's power-play goal was only the second power-play goal the Islanders had allowed on home ice in the past 16 games... Colin Delia stopped 24-of-29 in the win.

The Islanders power play went 1-for-3, while the penalty kill went 2-for-4.
