The New York Islanders suffered a setback on Saturday afternoon, as they fell 6-3 to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.
Brock Nelson hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his career on Saturday, Anders Lee recorded his 25th goal of the season and Zach Parise scored his 10th of the season, but it was not enough to counteract a potent Bruins offense.
Craig Smith, Taylor Hall (1G, 2A), David Pastrnak (1G, 1A), Brad Marchand (1G, 2A), Erik Haula (1G, 1A) and Jake DeBrusk scored for the Bruins, who improved to 9-1-1 in their last 11 games and leapfrogged the Toronto Maple Leafs for second place in the Atlantic Division.
The loss halted the Islanders two-game winning streak and prevented the Islanders from sweeping the season series with the Bruins.
