Final

The New York Islanders suffered a setback on Saturday afternoon, as they fell 6-3 to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.
Brock Nelson hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his career on Saturday, Anders Lee recorded his 25th goal of the season and Zach Parise scored his 10th of the season, but it was not enough to counteract a potent Bruins offense.
Craig Smith, Taylor Hall (1G, 2A), David Pastrnak (1G, 1A), Brad Marchand (1G, 2A), Erik Haula (1G, 1A) and Jake DeBrusk scored for the Bruins, who improved to 9-1-1 in their last 11 games and leapfrogged the Toronto Maple Leafs for second place in the Atlantic Division.
The loss halted the Islanders two-game winning streak and prevented the Islanders from sweeping the season series with the Bruins.

THE SCORING:

1st Period:
4:03 - BOS 1, NYI 0 - Brandon Carlo shoots for a rebound off the end boards that pops out to Craig Smith, who easily deposits the puck for the game's first goal. Charlie Coyle with the secondary assist.
19:26 - BOS 2, NYI 0 PPG - Taylor Hall deflects a Charlie McAvoy wrist shot at the side of the net to put Boston ahead 2-0. Brad Marchand with the secondary assist.
19:48 - BOS 2, NYI 1 - Brock Nelson gets the Islanders on the board at the end of the first period, backhanding a Zdeno Chara rebound after the defenseman hits the crossbar. 2nd Period:
2:13 - BOS 3, NYI 1 - David Pastrnak scores his 37th goal of the season. Pastrnak and Taylor Hall double-team Sebastian Aho in the corner, with the puck working out to Erik Haula, who feeds Pastrnak alone in front.
3:56 - BOS 4, NYI 1 - Brad Marchand extends the Bruins lead to 4-1. A pileup behind the net leaves Marchand open below the goal line, where he takes a Patrice Bergeron feed, skates out in front and beats Varlamov.
5:12 - BOS 4, NYI 2 PPG - Anders Lee scores his 25th goal of the season, depositing a rebound from the bumper position on an Islanders power play. JG Pageau and Noah Dobson with the assists.
14:33 - BOS 5, NYI 2 - Erik Haula finished off a tic-tac-toe play from Pastrnak and Hall for his ninth goal of the season.
18:18 - BOS 6, NYI 2 - Jake DeBrusk scores from behind the goal line, as his pass out front caroms off Adam Pelech's stick, then off Varlamov's shoulder and in.
3rd Period:
14:43 - BOS 6, NYI 3 PPG - Zach Parise finishes off some cross-ice passing for a power-play goal. Kyle Palmieri goes across the zone to Anthony Beauvillier, who dishes over to Parise for the veteran's 10th goal of the season and first power-play goal of the year.
