GAME NOTES MORNING SKATE UPDATES


The Islanders wrap up their two-game road trip against the reigning Western Conference champions on Saturday night, as they visit the Nashville Predators (8 p.m., MSG+2, MSG GO). 

The Islanders are coming off a 6-4 loss to Minnesota on Thursday, but had previously won three straight games. The Isles are 5-2-0 in their last seven games against the Preds. 

LINEUP NOTES: 

UPDATE: Ryan Pulock and Dennis Seidenberg are in, Thomas Hickey and Scott Mayfield are out.

Jaroslav Halak will start in goal for the Islanders on Saturday and Ryan Pulock is expected to return to the lineup after a two-game absence. 

Doug Weight shuffled his lines and power-play units at Friday's practice, so the Islanders could have a different look on Saturday. Josh Bailey practiced with John Tavares and Anders Lee on Friday, reunited last season's top line and two of the hottest Islanders at the moment, as Bailey and Lee are riding five and four game point streaks, respectively.

BY THE NUMBERS: 

5 - game point streak for Josh Bailey. Bailey has eight points (2G, 6A) over the past five games, including a three-assist night on Thursday. Bailey has 10 points (3G, 7A) in 10 games this season and is tied with John Tavares for the team lead. 

4 - game point streak for Anders Lee. Lee has four goals and two assists in his last four games. The Islanders winger buried his sixth goal of the season on Thursday and is tied with Tavares for the team lead. 

5-2-0 - record against the Predators. The Islanders have won five of their last seven from the Preds. 

THE OPPOSITION: 

The Predators are playing the second half of a back-to-back on Saturday night after picking up a 2-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. The Predators are 1-1-1 over their last three games. 

Filip Forsberg leads the Predators with seven goals and 12 points in 10 games this season. P.K. Subban leads the team in assists (8) and is second in points (9). 

Juuse Saros is could start for the Predators on Saturday, as Pekka Rinne played on Friday night in Chicago.
