Following back-to-back losses in Boston, the New York Islanders look to end their three-game road trip on a winning note when they take on the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night at Wells Fargo Center.
The Islanders fell to the Bruins 4-1 on Thursday night and were shut out for the third time this season - and first since Jan. 24 - on Friday, losing 3-0 to Boston. Despite getting blanked, the Islanders preferred their play in Friday's contest to Thursday's one-sided defeat and see positives to build off of.

"Obviously tough games vs Boston, playoff games, and it's same thing tonight," Anthony Beauvillier said on Sunday morning. "We're looking forward to it, looking forward to bouncing back and it's a good opportunity for our group to reset, bounce back and play our way. We're happy with the way we played last game, just didn't get the results, so we have to have the same mentality tonight, just play well and play our game."
To right the ship - and avoid the team's first three-game losing streak since Jan. 24-28 - the Islanders go for a fifth-straight win over the Flyers when the team's meet for the final time this season. The Islanders are currently 4-1-2 against Philadelphia.

ISLANDERS NOTES:

UPDATE: Josh Bailey and Cal Clutterbuck will both miss Sunday's game and are still considered day to day. Braydon Coburn could "possibly" make his Islanders debut on Sunday, as Head Coach Barry Trotz wants to both evaluate his newest defenseman, as well as give one of his regular blueliners a breather.
Trotz did not specify any other lineup changes, or a starting goaltender.
- The Islanders (58 points) currently sit in third place in the East Division, four points back of the Washington Capitals (62 points) and one back of the Pittsburgh Penguins (57 points). Boston currently lurks four points back with two games in hand of the Islanders.
- The Islanders-Flyers season series has been remarkably close this season, with five of the first seven games going beyond 60 minutes. The Islanders won the previous two meetings 3-2 in a pair of shootouts and scored a 2-1 OT win in their last trip to Philly. Six of the seven games have been decided by one goal.
- Barry Trotz has not announced his goaltender for Sunday's contest. Ilya Sorokin has a 4-0-1 record against the Flyers this season, with a 1.89 GAA and a .933 SV%, while Semyon Varlamov is 0-1-1 with a 3.47 GAA and a .854 SV%. Sorokin has posted the better numbers, but the rookie has only played consecutive games once this season. Check back after morning skate for the latest lineup information.
- Josh Bailey and Cal Clutterbuck both missed Friday's game and are considered day-to-day. Bailey's absence was his first since March 31, 2018, ending a streak of 196 consecutive games played.
- Leo Komarov and Michael Dal Colle reentered the lineup on Friday in place of Bailey and Clutterbuck. Komarov skated with Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas, while Dal Colle - who had missed nine games with a lower-body injury - skated with Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri.
- The Islanders have killed off 17 of their last 18 penalties.
