RALEIGH, N.C. - Forward Andrei Svechnikov will try to move his personal goal streak to four games on Saturday when the Carolina Hurricanes host the New York Islanders.
With a chance to clinch a fourth division title in six years this evening, the 26-year-old winger has found twine in three straight contests, all coming on the power play. Now with 28 goals on the season, he sits just two shy of his career high (30; 2021-22).
Elsewhere around the lineup, Sebastian Aho enters with an assist in four straight games, and Logan Stankoven has lit the lamp three times in his last two showings.
Behind the cast of skaters, Brandon Bussi is expected to make his team-leading 36th start of the year after occupying the traditional starter's crease this morning. A winner of his last three appearances, the first-year NHLer was especially sharp in his last go-around, a 23-save win in Columbus on Tuesday.
