The countdown is on.
On Wednesday, the Flames announced their 2022-23 regular season schedule, which kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 13 when they host the Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Flames will play each divisional opponent four times, with the exception of Edmonton (twice in Calgary, once in Edmonton) and Seattle (once in Calgary, twice in Seattle), who they will face three times each. Calgary will play Central Division opponents three times and will play all Eastern Conference opponents twice.
The Flames host the Vancouver Canucks on New Year's Eve for a Hockey Night in Canada tilt. The Christmas schedule also includes home games against Montreal (Dec. 1), Washington (Dec. 3), Arizona (Dec. 5), Minnesota (Dec. 7), Vancouver (Dec. 14), St. Louis (Dec. 16) and Edmonton (Dec. 27).
Calgary's longest homestand this season is eight games starting Oct. 17 through Nov. 5 as the Flames host Vegas, Buffalo, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Seattle, Nashville, and New Jersey.
Calgary's longest road trip of the season is a six-game trip starting Nov. 17 through Nov. 26, facing Tampa Bay, Florida, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington and concluding in Carolina.

The Eastern Conference Canadian teams will play at the Scotiabank Saddledome once each, with Montreal on Dec. 1, Toronto on March 1 and Ottawa on March 12.
The Flames will travel to face the three Canadian teams in the Eastern Conference in Toronto on Dec. 10, Montreal on Dec. 12 and in Ottawa Feb. 13.
Calgary will face their Western Conference rival, the Winnipeg Jets once this season in Calgary on Nov. 12 and twice in Winnipeg on Jan. 3 and April 5. The Flames will entertain three Battle of Alberta's with Edmonton, with two being at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season (on Oct. 29and Dec. 27 and on the road on Oct. 15) and four meetings with Vancouver (at home on Dec. 14, the New Year's Eve game and on the road on March 31 and April 8).

The day-by-day breakdown is as follows: Monday (14), Tuesday (14), Wednesday (7), Thursday (16), Friday (8), Saturday (19) and Sunday (4). Calgary will play in back-to-back scenarios nine times this season with their first coming in New York against the Islanders on Nov. 7 before travelling to New Jersey for a meeting with the Devils on Nov. 8
The 2023 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend will take place in Sunrise, Florida from Feb. 3-4.
