Flames defenceman Michael Stone and his wife Michelle welcomed a new addition to their family Monday morning, albeit a little earlier than expected.
Little Rhett Michael Stone surprised his parents on April 2, arriving a day early.

"It was a little more chaotic," said Stone Tuesday morning, prior to the Flames' 7 p.m. clash with the Arizona Coyotes at the Scotiabank Saddledome. "We actually had a C-section planned for today but it ended up going early Monday morning, so everything's worked out and everyone's doing well."

Weighing in at a healthy seven pounds, 15 ounces, both baby and mom are doing great.
Meanwhile, twin toddlers Jolie and Wyatt are getting used to their new little brother.
"My daughter's reacting a little more friendly then my son was; I think he was just trying to terrorize the place," said Stone.
"Things are settling down now and everything's good."
Coach Glen Gulutzan was asked if Stone was running on adrenaline after his exciting 24 hours.
"Yeah he should be, (but) I don't know how much he did," he joked. "Certainly Michelle is doing good so Stoney is here and he'll be in tonight."
