DARRYL SUTTER ON HOW IT PLAYED OUT:

ON VALUABLE SINGLE POINT:

"That might be the point that gets you into the playoffs. Not a chance (that it's disappointing). That's a good point for us. Didn't score. Got a point."

ON OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION:

"Tough to score this time of year. It's easy to score in October and November. You've got to get into where the mud is a little more."

"Pretty fast game out - give their defence credit"

MIKEAL BACKLUND ON THE WINNING GOAL:

"It's tough to watch. Marky played really well for us tonight. Kept us in the game multiple times. Wasn't good enough from us, but Marky definitely was our best player and it was unfortunate, the break at the end there."

ON GETTING TO THE FRONT OF THE NET:

"I think all year we've been doing it. Tonight, we didn't do it enough. We've got to have more determination going in there. Get more pucks there. We didn't shoot enough today or get enough pucks through. Just a disappointing loss."

ON GENERATING OFFENCE:

"In Colorado, I thought we had more looks than today. We can get a little (dirtier) around the o-zone net. Get more pucks there. It's going to happen, though, over a long year. But we don't want it to happen. We've got to turn this around."

"We didn't get enough pucks through"

TREVOR LEWIS ON TIGHT GAMES:

"I think games are always tougher in March and April and getting ready for the playoffs and stuff. It's a tight game and we have to make sure we learn how to win those tight games."

ON FACING THE SABRES:

"They're desperate. They're playing free and they're playing to score and stuff like that. I don't think we were good enough checking-wise tonight. Marky was huge for us. He kept us in the game and luckily we've got a game tomorrow to get back after it."

ON MARKSTROM'S NIGHT:

"He stopped, what, three or four breakaways there? He was the reason we got into overtime there. Just give him a tap on the pads. He's a competitor and we know he'll be coming back strong."
