SUTTER'S THOUGHTS:

ON THE FIRST PERIOD:

"Guys getting around pucks, guys standing still with the puck instead of skating."

ON HOW IT FINISHED IN OT:

"I think the first shift, obviously they had the puck the whole minute-and-a-half the Keller line. But then you've got to get the puck and keep it. The next two shifts were fine and then the overtime goal, Naz should stay with his guy which I'm thinking he was and Pelts can't go. Loses his man."

ON FLAMES' OVERTIME RECORD:

"Quite honest, you play a complete game, you shouldn't have that many overtime games. That's one part of it. The next part of it is you need guys to make a difference. You win faceoffs and have control of the puck, you need a D man to make a play, you need forwards to drive through, things like that. That hasn't been consistent enough, that's for sure."

HUBERDEAU ON HOW IT PLAYED OUT:

"We've got to come out with a better effort, obviously. It's the type of game that we did the same thing against Anaheim at home. We've got to get some points. We got one point tonight, but I really think we needed these two games."

ON WHAT THE COYOTES DID WELL:

"You can see they play with freedom to make plays and stuff like that, but we have to play harder - especially with the position we're in. If we want to make the playoffs, we've got to give a better effort."

ON 14 OT LOSSES:

"It's kind of crazy. Usually if you get bounces, but I feel - how many have we lost, 14 in overtime? It's crazy. If you do half of them and get an (extra) point, we're in the playoffs. It's something we're going to have to work on for next year."

BACKLUND ON THE EMOTIONS AFTER LOSS:

"It's tough. We've been in this spot before. It's getting old. We battled back, but after a big win against the Senators, we should come out with more jump and take charge of the game and play better than we did in the first two periods. They're a hot team and they've played well lately - and we knew that going in - but just disappointed we didn't get two points."

ON TROUBLES IN OVERTIME:

"It sucks. You want to get that extra point. If you look at it, we're over a (.500) points percentage, but if you look at it, we've lost more games than we've won this year. Not happy about it."
