"It's limiting chances against, it's having good sticks where we need to have good sticks, it's making tape-to-tape passes and getting in the o-zone and when we're in the o-zone, capitalizing on chances, getting pucks to the net, getting more traffic to the net. There's countless things you can say, but those little things, simple things that you need to do well in order to be a good teams."

ON FACING TKACHUK TONIGHT:

"Didn't even think about it until you just brought that up."

ON HIS SEASON SO FAR:

"It's coming along, for sure. I definitely came back as early as I could and tried to be available as quick as I could. I feel like my game has been getting better as I've been playing more here. It's a long season, just got to stay with the process, keep getting stronger and keep getting better on the ice.
"There's a lot of things when you have a major surgery. I've never really experienced it before. It's a long summer, it's a long of things that go into being able to come back as quick as you can. It's a combination of things. You can't really skate for the majority of the summer, so a lot of stuff like that. Being confident, going out there and playing my game."

TOFFOLI ON FACING THE PANTHERS:

"They're a really good team. I think they're in a similar position to us, just trying to find some ground and put ourselves in a playoff spot. We just played them and they're a hard team to play against. It was definitely a playoff-type feel of how they work and how they play, so it's going to be a good game."
