COLUMBUS - David Rittich will be back in net this evening when the Flames take on the Blue Jackets.
Head coach Bill Peters confirmed the Czech netminder will get the start this evening and Cam Talbot will play in Washington tomorrow night.
Rittich has had one of the heaviest workloads amongst NHL goaltenders this season, logging 714:46 of ice time in 12 games, but thanks to the circumstances surrounding the Flames' first month of play, he's feeling great heading into November.
"He's fresh and wants to play," Peters said. "He feels good. We've played a lot of hockey but we've had a lot of days where we've either just traveled or had days off. Coming off a day off, coming off a win and then with a back-to-back, it's time for him to start tonight."
